Senior Writer

Graham Wexler is a senior baseball analytics writer for Diamond Digest and a recurring contributor to The Left Field Ledger, where his work focuses on advanced metrics, obscure player comps, and the existential dread of small sample sizes. A longtime defender of the bunt in theory (but almost never in practice), Wexler has made a name for himself by asking the hard questions—like “Is BABIP luck, or is luck just BABIP with better branding?”
He holds dual degrees in mathematics and American studies from Oberlin College, where his honors thesis was rejected for including too many spray charts. Before turning to writing full-time, Wexler consulted briefly for a major league front office, where he was politely ignored during meetings and once left out of the team group photo by accident.
He currently lives in Brooklyn with a cat named FIP and a shelf of SABR journals that may or may not be organized by wRC+. His hobbies include recreating old box scores for fun and explaining to dinner guests why pitcher wins should not exist.
